Lower Body Post Workout Stretch

We already talked about the benefits of cool-down exercises after a workout.

We learned that stretching at the end of every workout will make your workout routines more effective, improve your performance and avoid injuries.

And, just like your workout routines, the stretching exercises that you do at the end can be focused on a specific group of muscles that you worked out that day:

  • Full-body cool down stretches
  • Lower body cool down stretches
  • Upper body cool down stretches
  • Back and lower back stretches

Remember that tightness or sore muscles can occur after intense workouts that is why it is necessary to have a good stretching routine.

Today's routine it's a: 5 minutes lower body cool-down stretching exercise for legs, hamstrings, glutes, and hip flexor.

This routine is perfect for leg day, at home or gym and it's for all fitness levels.

These exercises are a combination of different lower body stretches that can help improve flexibility, reduce sore muscles and relax.

Some helpful tips for when you are stretching:

  • Always deep inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
  • Keep your core engaged and your back straight this will help with the posture.
  • Always go as far as you can, don't try to push too hard to avoid injuries.
I hope you like this video and that this routine is helpful to you and if you do try it, please let me know in the comments below.
