What to do when you feel Unmotivated, unproductive or Burnout

Are You Feeling Unmotivated?  Feeling tired, unproductive, overwhelmed, or burnout?

Have you ever feel like exhausted? Like you lose interest in doing the things you were passionate about.

You notice your performance in your job or activities is not the same as before.

These are some signs that you are burnout. But, Why do we feel like that?

Mainly because we are under so much stress!.

Stress is mostly the cause of so many diseases and mental health issues, but, we won't be talking about that; I am not an expert.

We could be stress by so many different things, even if we think nothing is causing us stress at that moment.

What are common issues that can cause stress?

One of the most common ones and that we usually do not notice is that we set high expectations of ourselves.

When we encounter a situation that didn't meet our expectations or didn't allow us to accomplish a specific goal, we get stress!

We expect to control everything!  we don't even allow others to help us because we want to control how to do them.

We want things to go out a specific way when they don't turn out that way we stress.

Negative thinking, believe it or not, been negative all the time drains your brain, to the point where it can cause chronic stress.

Not taking care of yourself, putting your job first as your number one priority, thinking about work when you are not at work, not respecting your hours. Having to resort to drinking more coffee or energy drinks to be awake to keep working.

What can I do to help me feel better?

Allow yourself to do nothing, take a day off. Let your body and brain rest. It will help you recharge, feel well-rested to be able to start fresh.

Give yourself some love; give more credit for what you have done and accomplish. Remember where you begin and look at where you are now.

Remind yourself you are capable and you are doing a good job.

Practice self-care: by putting yourself first: relax, take a spa day if you need to, do something you enjoy and haven't been able to do.

Changing your attention Just for a moment, stop thinking about the bills you need to pay, the work you didn't finish.

Watch a goofy video that will make you laugh.

Talk with someone about something different.

Start changing your negative thinking to positive thinking. Take at least five minutes a day to write down at least:

5 things you are grateful for, 5 five things that make you happy.

Meditation can also help you reset your brain to have a positive mindset, and can also take just five minutes.

Be active! Take at least 10 minutes a day to do some exercise.

Can be a morning walk or run, some yoga, rope jumping, etc.

When you exercise your body releases chemicals that boost your sense of well-being and suppress the hormones that can cause stress.

Remember that it's ok to feel unmotivated; it's ok to take days off from life.

Everyone struggles with different situations in life.

Just remember: there is always a light at the end of the tunnel; and there is always professional help if you need to.

Your mental health should always be your priority.
