My Self-Care Routine

I have been a little stressed these past weeks due to some issues, so I decided it was time to take some me time, take care to myself and forget about the rest, at least for  a day, and I thought it would be a great idea to share my routine with you; maybe this will help you get some ideas to what you can do to relax and pamper yourself.

Before I start my self-care routine y make sure I turn off all my electronics, computer and phone so I won't be tempted to check any social media.
My self-care routine starts with taking a warm shower, warm showers always relaxes me I don't know why, there is something about the steam and the hot water that makes me feel so relax, plus helps me open the pores of my face for the next step.

Now that I'm all clean and already feeling relax, I'm going to put on a face mask. I personally like to use a mixture of clay and activated charcoal to really help deep clean my pores, also if I have a pimple this mask will help get rid of it.
While I wait for the mask to dry I´m going to lite a candle, My favourite one is this one below that smells like eucalyptus, wild mint and lime. No idea why but the eucalyptus and mint always gives me a sense of tranquillity and calm.

Now that my mask is dry I'm going o gently remove it and put on my favourite moisturizer which is the one that I made at home.

Now is time for the real deal, I tend to accumulate all my stress on the shoulders and the back, every time I feel some kind of a pain in that area I know I need to take a step back and take some time.

What I do to help relieve the pain and relax the muscles is that I used this little machine here that is for electrotherapy. If you don´t know what electrotherapy is: is the use of electrical energy as a medical treatment. I place the sticky pads on my shoulders and choose the intensity which is how strong I want to feel the electrical energy on my body and I leave it on for 15 minutes. It doesn't hurt at all and if feels like someone is giving you a massage, Is the best feeling ever.  I got this little machine at Costco and it is meant to be used at home.

After that, im going to use some heat to relax the rest of the muscles of my body, For that I use this "belt" that is made of  black jade stones and infrared ray, and has a temperature meter for you to decide how hot you want it, I use this on my back for 10 minutes, after that I'm going to use it on my legs for 10 minutes each legs. I really do like this heat therapy alot especially if I have any sore muscles because it relaxes your entire body and I do tend to fall asleep immediately after and even while I'm using it.

After this therapy, I usually go to bed, but if for any reason I'm not tired yet I like to read a book or listen to an audiobook. Lately, I have been listening to the Kindness is the New Classy By Candace Bure it is the perfect book if you are looking to make some improvements and changes in your self, so I listen to one chapter and I am ready to go to bed feeling relaxed and renew to start a new day.

It is always good to take at least one day to take care of your self and forget about everything and everyone else, we all need to be pampered once in a while, don´t forget to take time for your self whenever you need it.
